April 29 - May 1, 2011 - States in Sarasota at Nathan Benderson Park

This was one of the most intense moments of my life. The day before our race, Julianne gave us one of the best boat talks of my life. She instilled in us a burning desire to defy all definitions placed on us by other teams. She reminded us about all the hard work and camaraderie in our boat. Brandon gave his speech the day before and ended up crying because of how much he wanted to win a medal. The boat talk resulted in a big group hug that was very emotional. We came in 5th in our heat beating Plant high school, but we did not perform well enough to move onto reps. It was dissapointing but also a good race so we were not devastated by the loss. This is my all time favorite boat.
