Today I spent an hour writing lyrics for my hip hop group Burra Katha which consists of Taylor Col and Jaewon Jang. Our goal is to show people the merits of under ground rap which embraces true lyricism and poetic conventions without all of the misogynistic profanity of popular music. Underground rap puts a positive spin on the hard ships of life and paints a beautiful picture with lyricism, wordplay, and acoustic landscapes. I initiated this project with my friends in order to gain a more profound understanding of music and to do the public a service by raising awareness about social issues. We aim to target problems such as poverty, race, religion, world relations, political corruption, and complex philosophical issues.
Today, I wrote lyrics regarding the moral destitution of society in today's day and age.
As I make music with my friends, I hope to gain a greater understanding of my own feelings and ambitions relating to the world and discover some more about how I deal with issues and problems.
